Winter mood in the small village Kragerø

Kragerø is one cozy village full of life in the summer, but what about the winter time in this southern Norwegian village in Vestfold and Telemark county?

As a full time hard working photographer and filmmaker, I feel fortunate to travel a lot and seeing many beautiful places around the world. And during these times with Covid it has been difficult.

Earlier this week I went to visit the small cozy village Kragerø an afternoon to capture the opposite to the expected sunny, green and lively place. I have been here a large number of times over the years, also in the winter time. And I find it particularly beautiful during winter time. The pure ice and snow. The winter light. The contrasts of the snow to the white houses blended in the mix of some colors. And the calm of the narrow streets.

Talking with the local people is also something completely different in the winter time. Partly because you cannot find them amongst all the visitors in the heavy summer season, but also during the winter time they really have the time to stop for a talk.

It is definitely worth visiting this place during the winter time.

All the photos are shot with the Fujifilm GFX 100 with Fujifilm Fujinon GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR lens, no ad, info only. The panorama images are stiched photos.
